Weee Pledge
WEEE Pledge is a FREE battery recycling programme designed for schools. By engaging in fun learning activities and taking charge of battery recycling, students (and their families) learn about the importance of being responsible for the environment and how to make a difference in each community.
For EVERY full battery box €5 goes directly to LauraLynn, Ireland’s Children’s Hospice. Schools that collect the most batteries across the school year will be in line to WIN some great prizes such as school sport activity packs and Laptops!
WHAT WE DID
Neworld developed a fully responsive website with a content management system. For Weee Pledge 1 we developed a bespoke leaderboard for them to track points for the schools. The process was changed in 2015 and for Weee Pledge 2 the leaderboard was removed and schools now request their boxes through the site and when full they can request a collection.
